Australian Apprenticeships Incentives Program

This program provides employers with incentives to employ an apprentice.

The Australian Apprenticeships Incentives Program provides a range of financial incentives to Australian employers to offer apprenticeship opportunities and a living away from home allowance (LAFHA) to apprentices who need to move away from their parent's home to take up or retain an Australian apprenticeship.

The incentive payments are based on a skill shortages list of trades as well as a set of high priority occupations. The majority of incentive payments are one-off and paid annually at the end of the year, ranging from $750 to $4000, depending on the incentive.
