Irrigation and dry land 

The Rockhampton Region has both irrigated cropping and dry land cropping that currently produces cotton, corn, sorghum, sunflowers and a variety of other crops. This, together with recent research and development into spice varieties that thrive in sub-tropical conditions offer new opportunities for investors and agricultural developers here in Rockhampton.

Rockhampton’s Fitzroy Agricultural Corridor provides opportunities for cropping – some 45,000 hectares along the corridor.
