Rockhampton’s Fitzroy River is the largest river catchment on the eastern seaboard of Australia providing a high level of water security.
Recent Federal and State Government investments have been instrumental in establishing local water infrastructure projects such as Rookwood Weir to take advantage of the Fitzroy River. This project will see cropping and horticulture flourish in the regions Fitzroy Agricultural Corridor, providing investment and business development opportunities.
