Krista Hauritz brings more than 25 years’ experience across Australia’s tourism and events sector, spanning senior roles in regional tourism organisations, government and private enterprise. Since founding Krista Hauritz Tourism & Events in 2011, she has delivered award-winning strategies, destination marketing programs and major cross-regional initiatives including The Great Green Way, The Great Bunya Drive and Drive Inland Queensland.

A strategist at heart, Krista has led the development of numerous Destination Management Plans and Event Strategies across Queensland and beyond, from Port Douglas Daintree and Queensland Country to Lord Howe Island. Featured in Who’s Who of Queensland and Australian Business Women, she is an active QTIC member and a passionate advocate for regional Australia, community-led tourism and impactful visitor experiences.

Emma Rhoades

Emma Rhoades is a Tourism Industry Workforce Advisor with the Queensland Tourism Industry Council (QTIC), drawing on extensive experience in senior HR management and leadership coaching. She helps tourism operators tackle workforce challenges - from recruitment and retention to upskilling and accessing government incentives. Combining formal HR and coaching qualifications with practical business insight, Emma offers advice that is both actionable and realistic.

Passionate about supporting businesses without dedicated HR teams, Emma empowers owners and managers to build strong workplace cultures, boost team confidence, and set their operations up for long-term success.
