The region

All roads lead to Rockhampton

Rockhampton is situated in Central Queensland with all major roads throughout the State connecting to the city. It’s just a 45 minute flight away from Brisbane, and within a half-hour reach of the Southern Great Barrier Reef and Queensland’s great beaches.

Rockhampton, which includes Gracemere and Mount Morgan, is Central Queensland's capital.

Rockhampton’s Airport offers daily flights to and from Brisbane, Mackay, Townsville and Cairns. The region is also perfectly positioned as a drive-in, drive-out base for accessing employment opportunities in the Bowen Basin and Central Highlands, or for simply exploring Queensland at its best.

With 300 days of sunshine a year, Rockhampton offers a variety of activities for everyone to enjoy. The region experiences comfortable temperatures all year round – warm enough to swim yet cool enough to enjoy the great outdoors.

With its convenient location to both a major city and Eastern-Australian beaches, ease of getting around the region and its sub-tropical climate, the Rockhampton region is an ideal location for you to call your new home.
