The capital cost of this project is estimated to be approximately $1 billion with $65 million allocated for the planning and corridor preservation. Project Preliminary Evaluation and Business Case development will commence early 2019 and take 18 months to complete.  At a Federal level, both major parties now strongly support the project and have committed to the project commencing within the next term of government.
